About TPP Pop-Ups:

My full time job is in taproom operations. I worked with a local brewery to create my first featured artist pop up several years ago because I admired so many local artists, makers, and creatives and wanted to create a new way to share their products with more people in the community. I am now working on using my connections in the beer world to open up more local spaces and it is exciting to see the growth in locations over the past year! As a maker myself, I know how grueling markets can be, and how exploitative some "opportunities" can feel so I wanted to provide a new platform for local creatives who I think make awesome stuff. My featured artist pop up shops are all located in the back of local brewery taprooms. Each artist is given a month-long “residency.” The fee for the entire month is only $25 and the commission varies depending on the location and our agreement with that venue. Some locations take 0%, but none take more than 10% (enough to cover credit card fees and income tax for the venue). I ensure these costs remain the bare minimum necessary to keep this running so you can focus on selling your products, and never feel like you have become the product for an organizer or store to profit off of. These pop ups are meant to provide passive hands-off sales (since you don’t have to be on site to sell the products!), and visibility from a new audience of people who may not go to local markets. We even provide to-go bags, one 6-foot table, visit the location at least once a week to re-straighten your table display, and create an about the artist flyer for you, to make this as low-cost and easy on the vendors as possible :)
